Does anyone know what the "preview Buss" is for in sonar platinum?
It's down with the other buses, master/metronome etc. What is it for? It routes to the master by default. I can't find any help info on it.
Cheers!

Ahhhhh! For YEARS I have tried to work out how to have the volume of those previewed loops turned down because sometimes they are crazy loud etc when I'm previewing them. I just gave up in the end and stopped previewing. Always wondered what that buss is generally used for and never made the connection.

I see from the Help that this also useful when imporing audio into a track.  The File -> Import -> Audio dialog has a play button and a choice of which bus to use to preview.

I had deleted the preview bus from my default template because I too didn't see what it was there for.  I'm now going to put it back.

Put it back in there, but you can hide it if you want.

Also, a helpful tip from me is to lower the volume of the preview bus to about -6dB or -10dB.  At 0dB, I find it too darn loud in my setup...like speaker-blowing loud...if you decide to preview a .wav or .rx2 file during a project session.
