I'm in too.  Once strayed to another via cross grade, but was not happy until I came back to Sonar.

I'm happy apart from the absence of a plug in which gives me more than two hours per week to use the damn thing. ...#kids

Isn't there an app for that?

Count me and my two kitties, Grey Cat and Tudy, as all in.   Happy meows from them.

Love Sonar here.  If it could go get me a beer out of the fridge, it would be perfect. Until then, I'll keep asking the dog.

I probably sound like an arrogant know it all, but I'm not really. I learn things on this forum all the time from people like you. But when it comes to tweaking, I've been around the block more than a couple of times and I still get weird problems. It hasn't stopped me from finishing a couple of compilations in the last that I'm very happy with, but occasional interruptions remain part of using the software.

You really should not be getting lots of dropouts. Do you use AudioSnap? Sometimes all those transients add up, and cleaning out AudioSnap transients really helps performance.

Honestly,  considering the amount of money I've made over the years with Cakewalk i don't know how i could be anything but overjoyed.   I just wish i could get back working like i use to 'cause so many things i use to struggle with are now so very easy to do in Sonar.  The TV Doc biz left my town,  so i am left to fight my way back into a new music market.  The cool thing is that Sonar has evolved into what is exactly the right tool for me to do so...Although I do wish Staff View would get a little better.

This is going to be fun!!

May I suggest we avoid troubleshooting or problem solving in this thread. I would encourage a new thread to deal with any issues members may have.  It is only a suggestion.

I have a few minor gripes, or rather opportunities I think Cakewalk could gain some serious attention from in the Pro market, but overall, things have improved far beyond what I call the "X2 orphan".

Many of my gripes were those of stability and buggy issues. Many of those have been vastly improved upon since X3. And just like the company I work for, there comes a time when the priority or focus is placed on speed, reliability, and stability. If they continue this trend once in a while, Sonar should be a welcome change to those nay-sayers.

I'd still like to see Sonar compatible with Mac OS X, but building a PC is still cheaper, and Windows has been quite stable, lately. So, until Microsoft wets their own bed again, like they did with Vista, I'm here for a while longer.

Sonar works for me. Bugs there will always be, as long as every person has a unique computer (PC and Mac). But CW's level of customer service and willingness to communicate with us is second to none in the DAW business, as far as I can tell. That counts in my book.
