I installed according your instructions the software as well as my sound card Tascam 2x2.
Somehow, I managed for the first time I used my microphone to record sound.
But since I switched off the computer and turned on again, I plug in a guitar and a microphone, opens a new project, and I have no way to set each channel what the "Input"?
The first time I opened the program again, jumped me a message that Sonar did not recognize any sound card.
Then I restart my computer, and now there isn't this message.
The software identifies the sound card in my computer but does not give me the option Select any Input in the audio track.

I'm new in Sonar.

Please check OPTION>PREERENCE>AUDIO tab. Is the card visible?
[I am not in front of my DAW. But start checking from here.]

I cannot tell if this is a hardware problem.

If it is here are the hardware setup instructions for SONAR Platinum https://www.cakewalk.com/...roduct=SONAR+Platinum. If you have a different version of SONAR, adjust the dropdown at the top of the page.

Or a SONAR track view display issue. If this is the problem, by default the dropdown in the image below will show inputs when All, Custom or I/O is selected.

Check in your "preferences" "Audio Device" top tab and make sure your card is selected in the tick boxes.  If it disappeared once, Sonar may have not re-enabled it as an available device automatically, you may have to re-enable it manually.

See the picture scook posted? See the grey master tab at the bottom? See the grey box above it? Click on the arrow in that box. You should see all of your available inputs. Do you see the Tascam? Select the input you want. Now when you arm that track to record you should see audio when you play or sing into that track.

I realize this is a simple explanation, but I think you might not be an english speaker.

Thanks!,
The problem was that "Playback timing master" marked as NONE, so I set it to my audio card.

But now there is another issue,
Every time I plugged in my audio interface and open Sonar, for the first time I get this massege:
[image]C:\Users\AdminNayad\Desktop\תיקיה חדשה[/image]"There are no audio devices for the current driver model on your system..."
and I need alwayes to restart my computer when the audio card is connected to thw computer, and only then it will work.

Why is that???
Thanks!!!

You could well benefit by switching on your interface FIRST before starting your computer
