I've reported a lot of incidents of abuse lately, but nothing ever seems to become of it.

I would suggest not viewing his posts.  If he sees people are viewing them, it is incentive to keep posting

its a spammer.  They are automated, usually.  The best thing to do is report it (at the top) and then pay no atttention to more from the same name.  Eventually, they'll delete the user.

unfortunate - this is the most action that P5 has had in a while.
