The plugin is on the C drive of my Windows 7 Pro Sony Vaio laptop, the loops and samples are on my external drive. How do I access my presets on Cyclone? And please don't tell me, "Oh, that's just a long-standing bug. It's a shame Cakewalk never fixed it. Maybe someday..."

Are you looking for Presets or .CYC (Cyclone project) files? I haven't used Cyclone in quite a while, but I just tried it out, and it seems to work fine. I can point to any folder I want in the Loop bin, and also save and reload any .CYC files. Never tried saving VST generic presets (.fxp) or banks (.fxb) which, IMO, would not be very useful in this particular case.

No, .cyc files.

It would not shock me if it needed some kind of registry hack. I recently moved my samples for Dimension Pro and had to make registry changes to get it to work.

I wonder where I'd find out what to change?

search through your registry for cyclone and see where the content folder points to
