[Solved] Looking for old Cakewalk FX Effects

Hi All,
I created a Cakewalk "*.wrk" project in the early to mid 2000's with whatever Cakewalk version was out at that time and I recently reopened it to refresh it and re-release it in higher fidelity with newer soft synths, etc. There is a (real) fretless bass track in it which had a great sound back then using the old Cakewalk FxChorus effect which I can't quite recreate. Unfortunately, that specific effect is no longer available in SPLAT-64. I reinstalled Sonar X3 Producer 32-bit (thinking it might be a DX effect) to see if I could find it there but I guess it got phased out (npi) in earlier versions. Does anyone remember the last version of Cakewalk Pro Audio or Sonar which included that effect? Does anyone know where I might download it?
Thanks,
Bill

Not sure which of the old FX series you are looking for, these were bundled through X2

I'm sure he's talking about the top one. That thing sounded surprisingly good. I used to use it myself.

I think you just want to go back to one of your earlier Cakewalk products and do a custom install, looking for whichever of the above you want...

Didn't Cakewalk used to have these FX plugs listed on their shop for free, or super cheap?

Well, they're not there anymore, but they used to be free. Google Cakewalk fx1, fx2, and fx3. I'm sure you can find em somewhere.

OK, thanks to all of you. Yes I'm 99% sure it was the first one that scook posted above. It did sound great. i downloading X2 now and will look for it there. Otherwise I'll have to dig out my old 8.5 disks from some moldy box under the house.

Bill

Hopefully it will still work in your system. Not all the older effects will.

I grabbed the Cakewalk Audio FX (1,2 and 3) when they were offering them for free, so PM me if that's what you're looking for.

Also keep in mind that you'll probably need to use the 32bit version of SONAR since the older plugins are also 32bit and more important DX format so may not be "wrappable".
