Hi Everyone ,

I have updated to Lexington , it seems as though the loop playback is not working properly , it gets stuck then goes fast and choppy ,really really bad !

Is anyone else experiencing this , I will try next week to see if it is certain plugins or if someone else is experiencing this please let me know .

Thanks

Lord Tim
Just did a bit of recording tonight and used loop points quite a bit - all fine on my system too.

Re-installs usually aren't the fix. Try the obvious/easy things first just in case - bypass all the effects (type E), try increasing sample buffers, and try increasing I/O playback buffers to see if any of those make a difference.

Hi

so just opened my project and i am going to type as i try each step.
1) selected 1 measure and turn loop on hit play and still bad REALLY BAD , so i hit stop and audio dropout notification appeared at bottom of windows 10 .

2)then i have hit E and bypassed all FX and still getting stuck at the end of the loop for a few milliseconds ,still not working.

3)now opened up asio panel which took me to baby face /fire face > then i went from 1024 buffers to 2048 and soon as i hit enter a windows 10 notification appeared from Sonar saying 44.100/512 ? How is this possible saying 512 when i changed it to 2048??
OK the increase in buffers to 2048 has made it a lot worse cant hear any music just clicks .

4) OK so i changed back to 1024 and the same notification from sonar appeared saying 512 /44100 ? why isn't it changing or displaying the buffer size i am changing to , it seems as though sonar is stuck on 512 samples ?

I need to fix this guys any help is appreciated , i don't seem to have latency problem during any playback ever , only the loop on feature is causing it . and comping audition is useless also in this state .

Why isn't sonar display 1024/44100 when i change the buffer size to this , why is it showing 512/44100 its stuck on 512 .

i am going to reinstall my baby face drivers .

Update

i have muted all tracks and solo one ,looped 1 measure and hit play and it doesnt work plus the audio engine dropped out again ? something is causing this ? but everything works fine during normal playback .

i am curious as to why sonar is saying 512/44100 when its really 1024 /44100??Anyone !

FIXED

The Cause Was Vienna Ensemble Pro 5

i disconnected my instance and loop in sonar worked perfectly ,
so then i connected the vienna pro 5 instance again and noticed the server interface latency was set to 2 buffers-1024 samples  ,( so i change it to NONE 0 samples and walllaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

now the loop playback is WORKING AGAIN with everything and working perfectly

YAY! of to the beach now will read about the VE PRO 5 server interface latency tonight .

Re-installs usually aren't the fix. Try the obvious/easy things first
!! VE PRO 5 LATENCY !!
THANKS ANDERTON
hope this helps someone else !
