I'm stuck in looping 8th note loops and above, I can't set points smaller than an 8th note region.

whenever i'm setting loop points now (with or wihout snap being on or off), whatever small
range I select always ends up being "upped" to an 8th note loop. so if I range-select a tiny region of one 16th for example,
Sonar ups that to an 8th.

same thing if I select a small portion of audio (a single short hihat for example) and I hit "loop selected region" Sonar
will still up it to an eight note loop. I can freely move the loop points over the eight limit, without any restriction, but I can't move them below! when I try to move them below the 8th note limit, the loop region slides let or right, but remains an 8th at all times

There must be something I pressed because I don't remember the program ever doing this.

Can't find any clue in the help file either

to make it extra clear : I'm experiencing an odd behaviour in sonar where I can't seem to loop regions smaller than an 8th of a note. the program just won't let me. An 8th and bigger is ok, but if I try to go smaller  both loop markers on the timeline just start sliding either left or right, like If I was moving the selected region left or right

I'm pretty sure SONAR has always had a minimum loop length; an eighth sounds about right. Hard to say whether. it's not feasible to go lower or whether they just needed to set a minimum and thought that was reasonable. Personally I can't imagine needing to set a loop that short. What are you needing to accomplish?

while sound design ans playing around with transient, it can be usefull to loop extremelly short section but that's beside the point really. Are you telling me you too are getting the 8th note limit?
