TBH for under $25 for me it's fine if it's a one trick pony.
If the price was significantly higher I might be concerned.

Pitch shifting percussion through standard means has always sucked because it alters the attack portion and except for really minor shifts, at least to my ears, sounds unnatural or wrong.
For me this is a no brainer.

Saw him a month or two ago in Ostend. Still alive but less kicking.

Enjoy!  I saw him at the Ryman in Nashville - it was a great experience for me.  As I said, he is a shell now, but it is amazing he is still alive.  Was great to see Al Jardine up there supporting him as well.

I wondered if it's worth my time. Seems like a no-brainer. Although soundshifter is reasonable enough for tuning a drum sample on a constant basis. Deliberated whether it is worth it from a non-percussionist point of view.

I do have projects where I use acoustic drum samples however is this one trick pony. Will it work for orchestral percussion or just certain types. Going to download the manual and make a decision.

Is it the intention for Torque to be used on single instrument tracks?  If so, then I can see the benefit in this for single-tracked live drums.  So individual tracks and drum mics will need their own instance of Torque, correct?  For example, one or more tracks (plus Torques) for out-of-tune Toms, another track/Torque for the snare, and another track/Torque for the kick.  Since it's not multiband, there really isn't a way to use it on a mix, right?

But for electronic drums and samples, it may be a stretch, even if it's a "no-brainer" deal.

I did not like the results I was getting by putting it on the drum buss.
