• SONAR
  • New - Blank Project - forgets name, must re-enter name twice to save.

If I start a File > New / - Blank Project - and I call it, say, test1, the title in the title bar at the top still states:
SONAR Platinum -  [Untitled project - Track]

I work on my project, click File > Save and it opens the Save As dialog, wanting my File name.

Again I enter test1, and now the test1 folder opens, I can see the Audio subfolder.
Again it wants me to enter a File name, so again I enter test1.
Finally it seems happy and I can close Sonar.

Why the complication? It does not do this when I start with a template.

I notice when I first open the dialog, the Location: and Audio Path: fields are grey-disabled, but their lables are enabled.

Then, when I click on - Blank Project - , the two labels (amongst other things) suddenly DO get disabled.

When I then begin typing "test1", the Location and Audio Path edit fields become enabled, but their associated labels remain disabled.

If this is programmed with Microsoft C++, then it looks like the programmer didn't set the control properties. Normally a label and it's control react in concert. The programmer just sets the properties, and MFC does the rest.

Not a show stopper, but it looks like rushed work.

Hi. I can not replicate on my laptop. When the project opens, it says test1 in the title bar. I imported two audio files, and saved. It did just that. Maybe it is just a settings issues? Do you use "per project audio folder"?
All the best.
