I often work with vocal harmonies, and sometimes lots of them in 'A Capella' numbers. Vocal Sync has been a fantastic addition to my workflow, it can really tighten up a harmony, or vocal doubling line, and make the vocals sound very professional.
I do however have an issue with Vocal Sync crashing Sonar after using it three or four times in succession.
This is my workflow:
1. Create a region FX for the line I wish to alter. (usually just a two or four bar line)
2. Get the best sound I can
3. Render the finished product
4. Save the project and move on to the next section
After I've done this three or four times, Sonar will crash and I have to restart the application to continue working. I have saved so my work up to this point has not been in vain.
Soooo, does a part of Vocal Sync stay memory resident where the build up of successive usages cause a memory overload? Is there an issue with the amount of 'undo's' that is causing memory to run out? Or is there something else going on here that is causing this to happen?
I will say that Vocal Sync generally works great and I've not had the issues that some others on this forum seem to be having. If I just use one instance every now and then, I get no problems. It's just when I use it continually.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
