IK Multimedia has announced the immediate release of Ampeg SVX 2 for AmpliTube, a new collection that brings some of the most sought-after and iconic bass amplifiers and cabinets from the Ampeg Heritage and Classic series to AmpliTube for Mac and PC.
Ampeg SVX 2 for AmpliTube brings more power to bass players and music producers, giving them the opportunity to expand their collection with 2 amplifiers and 2 cabinets from the Ampeg Classic series: the SVT-VR and V-4B amplifiers along with the SVT-810AV and SVT-212AVcabinets. Also included from the Ampeg Heritage series is the B-15N amp and its matching cabinet, the B-15N 115. Ampeg SVX 2 provides the tone, dynamics and feel of these iconic amps thanks to IK's modeling technologies. Mmmm. Spent too much recently but some more/better bass amp sims would be handy. I should be able to get the 49.99 Euro, minus Jam point and plus VAT, might not be too bad.

So I dug around and saw 50 Gear Credits for the upgrade. That's doable.

Dammit, I keep promising myself not to buy more stuff.  But I love my Ampeg SVX, so might have to get this one too.

Discounts will save a few extra bucks for those who 
don't have credits or Jampoints.

Doesn't seem to recognize Total Studio MAX/Amplitude MAX owners as being eligible for the upgrade discount (on the website or in the Custom Shop).

I went to IK's site and tried to purchase my upgrade...but it won't show me the upgrade even though I'm a registered owner of SVX.  Ditto when trying to purchase through the Custom Shop.  While I'm shy on credits, I've got a ton of jampoints.  Should be about $33 semolians...except there doesn't seem to be a way to upgrade that I can find.  Any clues for the clueless??

Yup...I know that ol pal.  But when I clicked on that it just took me to another page that only had the $99 version and the bundle version...no $49 upgrade version.  And when I clicked on the $99 version it just took me to the $99 buy now page.  I emailed IK...but don't expect to hear for a while.  My SVX was purchased a looooong time ago but it's authorized and in my account and has 9 authorizations left.  The upgrade is also not listed in my account page "upgrades/crossgrades" section.  

Well...now their site is down
