Honestly, I don't see the big deal. IK always seems pretty prompt at sorting this kind of stuff out. There's so much hate for IK around here that I just don't understand.

 Because their upgrading policies is beyond abnormal compared to other developers...Steinberg can give them a run for the money.

So some of you can actually remember almost a decade ago how you got it? 
My "sense of entitlement" says why not give those the upgrade price for a product upgrade long in the making.

So it turned out I had 67 credits just sitting there in my account.
 
Now I have 17.

There's so much hate for IK around here that I just don't understand.

 
It's more like frustration over IK's hyper-convoluted way of selling their products. Someone should teach their marketing department the value of the KISS rule. Would avoid a lot of headaches, not only for customers but for IK's support staff.

Then OTOH there's always Peter to set things right or explain why they are wrong. To be honest, I kinda like IK strutting their pose Italian style and having Peter intervene when needed. Much more fun to be had. But that's just me.

Was excited by this, but the upgrade restrictions are a bit lame. I did get my SVX as a group buy add-on, but don't recall being told the bonus products would be upgrade hobbled. I can see forbidding resale, but barring existing users from upgrades is just a recipe for lost potential income.
