Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk]
If you have BA already running you would have already received an update notification. However for those who do not have it running please launch it and allow it to auto update. You can also directly download the latest BA from here.

This update paves the way for an upcoming point release for the last Cakewalk release so please download and install it as soon as possible to make things smoother.

Improvements
- Improved logic for handling Cakewalk installers. The main Cakewalk core installers starts in prompted mode while all other installers will run silently.
- Fix for bug where updating the core installer automatically triggered installation of Studio Instruments.
- Tiny download progress indicator between main window and tabs appears when BA downloads update for itself.
- Various stability improvements and bug fixes

5/22 Update:
A new build 31 for Cakewalk is also available via BandLab assistant now. This minor update contains a few fixes to prevent incorrect Demo Mode activation that a few users encountered.

Updated OK. The only concern was the delay between clicking "Update Now" and the notice to shut down BA to allow the update to continue. I was not sure anything was happening during that time (about 15 to 20 seconds but seemed a lot longer).

BA is grayed-out and unresponsive.

Thanks Noel.

Ran BLA and selected update. It downloaded OK but then I got an error:

"The file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program, or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

When I try to run Bandlab Assistant it no longer finds the program. I presume it got as far as uninstalling 3.08 and then failed.

So I downloaded 3.0.9 from your link and it installed fine and all seems OK. CbB still works fine and remains activated (phew).

I downloaded the BA this weekend for the first time (no update) and was version 3.09. Everything went smooth with it for me in the whole process, but again was a "clean" BA install.

The update worked OK for me.

Update applied here with no problems...

But I must again notice that as others have mentioned.... Notification of processes and progress is still a bit "sloppy"...

Thanks for the update... Looking forward to what's up next!

There is a bunch of new stuff coming in BA for the next CbB update but this particular one was to address a few major grievances and bugs and also to prep for a small CbB point release.

Thanks for the update! I know that you have been working so that Cakewalk has due recognition in the audio world. We hope for this!
However, Cakewalk continues to work in demo mode, even with all BA upgrades.
Excuse me ... I'm not criticizing, but I wish something was done about it, so I could work.
Thank you for your attention
