I'm happy for those who downloaded and installed this latest update with no problems. I tried and got the same thing as last time I updated: a pulsing "downloading" thingy, and after an hour of that I gave up. I am happy with what I have. If and when they get it to the point where it works for everyone, I'll update.

Have you tried disabling your antivirus software.  I know that on my machine Norton can be a real pain in the butt with false positives.  Often times halting certain aspects of an installation.

I also have the problem that bandlab assistant is greyed out with the Windows logo cycling round in the middle. I tried uninstalling ba and then reinstalling latest version, but with same result. I think this may have happened after the latest Windows 10 update. Has anybody found an answer to this yet?

Bandlab's Assistant possible is blocked from Internet. Show Antivirus and Firewall Rules on your System.
I'am self had ESET Internet Security. Every time when bandlab has updated i must free up Bandlab on ESET Firewall .
If you only runs Windows Defender/Firewall, then you can control Internet transactions within Windows Firewall Preferences or you can download a helper tool like this: Windows Firewall Control

I'm pretty sure this isn't a firewall issue. I tried completely disabling my firewall before reinstalling BandLab Assistant. It made no difference. Also I use exactly the same internet security software on my desktop computer and don't have this problem there, although that is running an earlier version of Assistant (I'm afraid to update it, given what's happened on my laptop)

I just updated to the new CbB version but had to back out of it first pass. Doing the custom installation, none of the "Browse" buttons actually do anything (not sure if this is a setting somewhere?). I installed only R-Mix from X2 yesterday, but doing that changed my Cakewalk plugin path to having "/R-Mix" at the end as the default directory. Unable to change that there, I backed out and editted the registery manually, then installed CbB.

Assistant worked great for me using Firefox, I’m not computer savvy, I’m amazed at how much faster the download was compared to Command Center!

I have now sorted out the problem of the greyed out Bandlab Assistant with the cycling Windows logo. Here is what I did:-
1. I uninstalled Bandlab Assistant (from Control Panel)
2. I manually deleted two bandlab assistant folders that were not deleted by the uninstall process. These were located in users/(username)/AppData/Roaming
3. I installed BA 3.0.9 again
Now Bandlab Assistant opened properly and I was able to log in as normal

I love reading people solving their own problems. How many people would go searching in users/(username)/AppData/Roaming ?
Most wouldn't. Good save!
