I have a registered version of Melodyne Editor 2.  I've never had problems with it, but now I have one project which won't recognize the license.

I can start new projects and insert Melodyne region FX; I can open older projects and do the same.  They all work just fine.  It's just this one project that doesn't want to recognize Melodyne Editor.  I even get the popup that would usually say the product is unlicensed--but in my case it shows that it's actually licensed.  It just won't recognize it.  It's a project that I've been working on for a few weeks now. It's definitely from the Sonar Platinum days, but pre-Kingston.

I did do a complete rebuild after upgrading to Windows 10 last week.  The other projects I've tested from before the rebuild work with Melodyne just fine.  I did NOT install the Melodyne Essentials version that comes with Sonar Platinum.

Any ideas?

Hi,

I have a project that did the same thing for awhile. Never found what caused it to do that. I could eventually get it to recognize Melodyne but wouldn't hold and go back to saying I had to register the editor again.

One thing you can do is try bypassing a couple of synths and /or FX and see if you can get it to work again. That's what I did.

I had the same problem, where Sonar Plat would crash if Melodyne were invoked, after an upgrade to Editor 2.
A tech at Celemony suggested that I remove and reinstall Melodyne, Sonar, and Windows 10.
Well, doing so, I was able to run Melodyne in standalone mode, but not in Sonar. Yes, I did rescan the VSTs after each effort. What work, was when I ran SPLAT in administartive mode, even though I am the administrator of my machine. Works fine now. Hope this works for you.

I've been having Melodyne issues here as well. Using Editor, Kingston and Win 7 64bit. Any project with a Melodyne region FX clip crashes when opening. I can open and use Melodyne just fine... it's after I've saved, closed and re-open the session that the crash occurs. Work around is bouncing the region clip before exiting the project...

Tried re-installing Sonar and Melodyne, but it didn't change anything. Already running Sonar in Administrative mode because it tends to work better with Acustica plugins that way...

Hadn't seen anyone here posting about it so I was thinking I might be the only one?
