I checked this out, and it looks like there's a record compensation error that's consistently 3x the ASIO buffer size when recording from a Patchpoint with External Insert in the source track. PDC is correct during live playback, and if the EI is on some
other track, record compensation for the Patchpoint source is correct. And it doesn't matter how much PDC is being induced by the EI; the record compensation is always 3 buffers short - e.g. 384 samples at 128. Actually this is more like
decompensation - later than it would be with no compensation at all.
At least knowing that makes it easy to correct.
