Hello, I am trying to do a fresh install of AD2 on a new computer but it won't allow because it says vst32 and vst64 are the same folder location? I am not sure what to do here, i go to advanced and click on 64 with no success. I do the same with 32, no success. Never had this problem before, new Windows 10 os and the newest Platinum download from CCC.
Thanks,

The folder paths cannot be the same, and one folder cannot be within the other.  I created a folder in vstplugins called "32-bit" in which I throw all the 32-bit plugins that I'll never use but am forced to install anyway.  I then have separate folders within vstplugins each called the name of the product ("Addictive Drums" in this case) which hold the 64-bit version of each plugin.

This is slightly different from a recent post of mine, because I've since encountered more 32-bit plugins that forced themselves upon me, not just AD2.

Brillant!! Can I just add a folder within vst that says 64 bit, and then place the AD2 folder in there?  I am not sure which vst folders are 32 bit.  Or can I just add a folder in vst called AD2 and install there?

Thanks,

Why not just have the folder "AD2" directly within your vst plugins folder.  This for the 64-bit path.

Then create any folder of your choice to put the 32 bit plugin, just don't put it within "AD2".

Or setup something like "AD2-32" and "AD2-64" folders directly within your vst plugins folder.  Probably simpler, but I just like to keep clutter to a minimum.

Perfect, thank you.  Are the AD2 files both 32 and 64 bit?

If you mean the "Sound Data" files, then yes.  They're wherever you set the "Addictive Drums 2" path in the XLN Online Installer.

Great, I was setting them to 64 bit, but again, it would not let me install them in the vst folder.  I will do as you suggest.
Thanks for your help.
