  • Piano roll (Session Drummer track): Drum patterns below C3 key get stuck

I have a Session Drummer track. I have recently noticed that, on the Piano Roll, the keys below C3 are all drum patterns.

When I scrub across these keys or just click any of the keys, the drum pattern "stamps" itself into that track, although no note has been placed on the grid. I play the Project, and indeed, one instance of that drum pattern is in the playback, although again physically non-existent on the track.

The only way I can remove it is to reload the Project. Is anyone familiar with this bug? Why does this happen and how do I eliminate it?

Thanks in advance. :)

Hit C1 (if SD3)
Hit STOP at SessionDrummer2 window. (if SD2)

Look at the GUI for SD while you are working. There is a low range of keys (below the kick) which triggers the MIDI patterns loaded into the kit versus the kit pieces. You are triggering the A-H patterns.

There is an autoplay feature as well that makes SD "just go" when triggered, but forget how that is disabled (refer to the post above).

The infinity symbol next to the play button on the SD transport engages loop mode. See the "Using the Drum Kit > Using MIDI Patterns" section of the SD help.

Clicking anywhere around C1 (SessionDrummer 3) doesn't work in clearing the drum pattern from playback.

I have identified that playing most keys from C2-C3 generate a "phantom" drum pattern that sticks invisibly to the track and cannot be worked with (unless those actual notes are drawn on the Piano Roll grid.)

Actually, I wasn't able to locate the Help resource anywhere in the SessionDrummer 3 synth window.

~~ SOLVED ~~

I've solved the problem. Whereas clicking any key below C2 doesn't work (as stated above), actually scrubbing my mouse from above C3 to below C2 clears the phantom drum pattern from the Track.

Also, if I right click the PRV keyboard and use "Assigned Instrument Settings" instead of "Note Names", I can see that clicking the actual C2 key (the **OFF** key) disables/turns off the pattern.

What a silly problem! I've determined that anything played below C3 is annoying and should be completely avoided unless absolutely needed. :)
