So I've been experimenting more and more with aux tracks and patch points features in the latest Sonar Platinum updates and have begun updating some of my large bus workflows for multi-bus compression (a Michael Brauer-like technique) to utilize the power of patch points and aux tracks instead of flooding my bus group section and getting the power of being able to record/bounce tracks over the l imitations of a bus.
However, upon trying to load a track template I saved out utilizing patch points and aux tracks, all the audio tracks were treated like normal audio tracks and inputs set to a default hardware output.  The outputs that went to said patch points / aux tracks defaulted to the first hardware output as well (completely ignoring the default bus).

I'm curious if anyone else is able to save out and successfully load track templates that utilize patch points and aux tracks, or if this simply isn't possible at the moment?  I can understand why it wouldn't be since these routings are dynamically created in the session and don't have any sort of static/universal routing scheme nor with labelling and addressing.

Patch points don't work in track templates just yet. We will likely implement that for a future release.

Definitely looking forward to that. I've done a few templates with patch points despite them being removed in the process, simply so I have the basic track layout already created, and then I had to manually go through and rebuild the actual patching itself.

It does work great, even if it is a little tedious, but be warned - if there's anything running on the hardware input and you've got a distortion or heavy compression plugin on any of your patch point tracks, you might end up with a fairly ugly noise until you set up your routing again. Definitely make sure that hardware input is silent first!
