My nVidia GT610 driver (353.62 current) to be the highest DPC routine execution. Is this a driver or video card quality issue?
My system is slow responding to my control surface, and sliding the console around varying the view significantly (more than 1 second). Latencymon and DPC Latency checker both say my system should handle it, but it's not. I can't get below 256ms with less than 50% cpu on the 1st (highest) core. So I'm wondering if I need a better video card/driver, or where else I should look. Thanks, Shep

Here's the file in my Dropbox. Can anyone help me cypher what to do with my system to get the latency/cpu speed improved, please?

NOTE - LatencyMon says I'm running Win 8 - I'm on Win 10 for certain...

Even after deleting the NVidia bloat and reinstalling only the graphics card driver, I have the same issue with it. So is this latency from the card enough to warrant a different card? If so, which card?  Thanks much - Shep

Here's a video of the time it takes without my controller installed to move focus to a new track at 128ms.

Hi. I have the same graphics card as you, and I have no issues with it whatsoever. I can run my RME down to 32 samples when recording (usually at 64), without any hiccups. My controller is acting nice, even at low latency settings.
I am sorry to say that I do not know what could be the culprit here. Is everything up to date? Window, drivers, etc.
Best of luck.

Yessir, thanks for jumping in. Current. It has been that way for me in the past. I have no idea how I got where I am. It's making me crazy enough to go clean install on 3 new SSD'S for OS, Audio, and Samples. I'd truly rather have teeth pulled.

Is it happening on more than on project? Have you tried to bypass all plugins (E) to see if a plugin could be the problem? Maybe try to do a rollback, to see if it could be release specific.
All the best.

Bypassing all gave same result. Unloading all as well. I guess I'll have to try rolling back.

If anyone understands what LatencyMon is saying, I'd be grateful to be steered to something to try.

If I can only afford 2 SSD drives, would the 2nd be best placed as my audio or samples drive?

I don't have a dropbox account so I can view your report.

The DPC Latency checker is not valid for 8/8.1/10 according to their web site.

The Resplendence Latency Mon has a new version that is for Win 10.  If you don't have that, get it.  I don't know if it will show anything different.  Latency Mon gives you so much data that its hard to figure out many times.

I don't have a PC with an NVIDIA card, but I used to have an NVIDIA GTS450OC in a desktop with Win 8.1 and I didn't have any problems with Sonar (X3 at the time) or my Roland Octa-Capture's latency.

If it happened recently, I would try to do a rollback, to see if that helps. Have you done any changes to your setup (plugins, win update, etc) lately?
All the best.

It was going on previous to W10, so I think other than my 2 updates from Jamaica Plain I'm good.
