I would like to buy a UAD-2 Satellite Quad (with firewire).
I'm working with Platinum and Windows 10 (x64).
But at the moment UAD officially supports only Windows 7 x64.

Is anyone working with UAD-2 Satellite Quad under Windows 10?

I have that setup

Dell XPS 8700 Win 10 Home 64 bit
QUAD Satellite with FW
SIIG PCIE 800/400 FW Card

two things

I redid the fw drivers as they carried over from earlier installs and let the default MS driver insdtall

the Control Panel will not let you adjust the FW settings UNLESS you run it as administrator

other than that I have a PCI Solo card and the Quad FW they work flawlessly and I can load up lots more plugs

As a UA user who hasn't done Windows 10 yet...thanks for the info, but I'm a little confused. Does that mean that you used the drivers from Windows 10, or reinstalled the earlier "legacy FireWire" drivers?

the old legacy drivers are not recommended

the windows driver that installs is coming up as Microsoft version 10.0.10240.16384  dates, of all things, 6/21/2006.. so no recent update to that

Thank you,
It works, but is not officially supported by UA.
Now I buy an UAD-2 Satellite Quad.

I have much UAD2 (12 cores total).  I don;t see how windows 10 can effect how many plugs you run.   Its all based on the FW bandwidth spec.  Thunderbolt runs more because the its way faster and supports 10x more data.  I don;t see how windows 10 vs 7 running FW could make any difference at all.  The UAD stuff offloads the host CPU as well so its all about the card and the driver.  I would think the OS is moot
