Has this been reported to synthogy?

Since it works in three other DAWs but not Kingston SONAR (as well as Sylenth having the same problem) I see this as  a CW issue (JP worked just fine).

Hi Folks,

For those of you experiencing this issue, do you have 64 bit Double Precision enabled in Preferences - Audio - Driver settings? If so, does disabling 64 bit DP stop the problem for you?

Thanks

Turning it off fixes the old 32-bit Cakewalk Sound Center instrument to no longer make the static noise for me.

Disabling 64 bit DP makes Ivory work, Dan. But is this a fix or a work around?

When this has been an issue in the past, toggling the 64bit DPE was viewed as a workaround until the issue was fixed. I suspect it will be the case here also.

If it helps,

Sonar Pt Kingston x64
Ivory II 2.0.0 b47 x64 (no I did not upgrade to latest version)
...
1. opened existing scratch project
     a. 64-bit Double Precision Engine NOT checked
2. Insert Synth = Ivory II
3. Open PRV insert any valid note
4. Play

no problem. no distortion.

1. created new project
     a. 64-bit Double Precision Engine still NOT checked
2. Insert Synth = Ivory II
3. Open PRV insert any valid note
4. Play

no problem. no distortion.

best.

Are you loading/using the VST2 or VST3 version of Ivory?

Wait, I'm not at home. Is there a VST3 version of Ivory?

AFAIK, VST2.
Don't believe they have a VST3 version

I believe the problem appears when the 64bit DPE is checked. When the option is not checked the synth should work normally, as you reported. Also in at least one case where a plug-in had both VST2 and VST3 formats, the problem only affected the VST2 format.
