  • Has anyone tried the new ZOOM UAC-2 USB-3 interface?

It looks interesting, especially at 250 bucks. I came upon it when looking to see if there is an affordable interface to take advantage of Sonar's ability to run at 352.8 kHz or 384 khz sample rate, for DSD. The highest (affordable I can find is 24/192).
 
I wonder if the preamps in the ZOO are good and I wonder if it being USB 3.0 makes it have lower latency.

I haven't used that particular unit, but having greater bandwidth (USB3) in-and-of-itself won't allow you to run at lower latency.  With the amount of I/O, it's nowhere close to saturating the USB2 bus.
