Worth getting, or do you use anything else?

For random chords I use a die...
Don't knock it till you've tried it.

I wanted to get this sometime back, but it's only for those who have Ableton Live 9.2 & Max For Live 7.1 or higher is required

I smoke a joint and plug in the lava lamp. Random chords almost always ensue.

Seated one day at the organ, I was weary and ill at ease,
And my fingers wander'd idly over the noisy keys;
I knew not what I was playing, or what I was dreaming then,
But I struck one chord of music like the sound of a great Amen.

If you have Band In A Box there is a feature under the "Melodist" Menu item allowing you to "generate chords" in different styles.  I've used it and, with some modification, like it.
