I am trying to find a Sonar plug in that can maintain a min & max level of an audio track to ensure that the track would not get buried in the mix. Recently Waves have created an MV2 compressor plug in they refer to as a parallel processor. The MV2 allows the user to pre-select a minimum threshold which maintains the audio level to be no less than the setting the user provides & then the second setting is a threshold to determine the maximum volume not to be exceeded. They claim that they use an 80 millisecond read ahead procedure which in turn provides plenty of time to provide the user with a real time monitoring solution.
Does anyone know if Sonar has a similar plug in that can perform the same function without resorting to manually editing the track? I know this will sound rather archaic but I have performed this tedious task by selecting the loud audio & re-adjusting the level manually to match whatever the average level is on the rest of the track? Although this is really tedious, the results are excellent. But since this is 2015, and people have been to the Moon, I figure Sonar must have something in their bag of tricks that can help us aspiring musical geniuses in getting the job done much quicker!
Cheers & Merry Christmas! to all of you @ Cakewalk, Ya! Ya! Ya!
