Sometimes I really wonder why I don't get it. Back and forth to command center/forum--suggestions to go to the core but I don't know what that means. Where is the link to the Kingston download?
 
To download the Kingston core update itself, download from the core SONAR Artist, Professional, or Platinum category.
What does this mean? I can't find anything that says Kingston Update--there are lots of explanations about what you will get etc. but can"t find the update itself.

15 views and no replies. Anyway, I found a place that says download the latest release and updated-and then clicked update all and I guess I now have the Kingston update. Downloading and installing the Rapture essentials was easy. I don't know why this was so difficult.

Hi. In CCC, you should be able to click on SONAR (Platinum, Professional or Artist). To the right you will have the option to launch or update (if not already updated).

Yes, Zargg71--figured it out. Everything has changed so much since the update process of X3 producer. I greatly appreciate your help and have read a few of your posts--very refreshing.

IF you are using the Cakewalk Command Center for installs and updates for Platinum and things now under its management, sometimes you have to click on the settings button (the gear in the upper right corner of the CCC interface window) and tell it to check for updates NOW.

robert-e --nice to hear from you. Yes, sorted it out. About ready tio fly you over hear to find out why my desktop freezes still at random times even after a clean install--not so nice for my clients. But, another day, another thread.

You can also manually download directly from your account just like with X3. I do both as my DAW is not on line so it doesn't use Command center. My laptop I use CC and it's pretty straight forward.. 
 
I had freeze ups after a new build and mine was a faulty power supply. So in other words ,, it's never simple...I have a IT friend who's finding issues with certain brands of SSD drives causing boot up blue screens. 
Check the event error (?) log.

do you mean graphics? If so, I'm up to date. Anyway, today I did a 12 hour session and not a hitch. Weird stuff!. But still in fear that its going to happen again.
