I have just started to notice frequent Platinum crashed with use of certain plugins. When auditioning plugin presets on NI's Absynth in particular, I cannot get past 2 or 3 before the above error msg appears... this then causes Platinum to crash.
I've experienced this on Camel Audio's Alchemy (yes I still use it) as well.
 
This does not occur when I revert back to Sonar X3. This makes me very unsure about working on Platinum if this keeps on occurring.

Nope. I also run Absynth and have never seen this message.

well its still happening to me... just bought Waves Codex...auditioning presets is a nightmare...I go back to X3 and all is OK. 

The infamous "VST reset and rescan" might be worth a try in SPlat.    I also haven't had any issues with Absynth or any other NI synth.
