No reason why this is happening since the Kingston update!

Finally had a chance to test it.

Loaded an old project with an unfrozen instance of CSC in it (squealing pigs FX), and the whole track screamed/squealed/motorboated.

Muted CSC track, and all played fine.

JB thats what I did i'm not sure if cakewalk are suggesting that CSC is obsolete and you have to replace your synth with another sound similar to the one that you had in a track that is if you have been using CSC! Not sure Cake would you like to explain this for us.

Hi Folks,

For those of you experiencing this issue, do you have 64 bit Double Precision enabled in Preferences - Audio - Driver settings? If so, does disabling 64 bit DP stop the problem for you?

Thanks

Thanks Dan!  I disabled the 64 bit Double Precision Engine and the problem went away. The thing is, for me, I am starting to like the Rapture Session synth and think in the future I'll be using that. As far as older projects that have CSC in them, now I know how to get them to work without having to change synths

I have same issue but wanted to try using some of the sound I had in sound center, namely the DSF B3 and they don't load in Rapture or Dim Pro.  Should they?  They all end in the .prog extension.   I can only get them to load / work in sound center.

Also, what gets lost by disabling the double precision?  Never had to do that before

More....   When I disable the 64 bit dp, it gives an error that a parameter is missing and won;t play anything.  This sounds like a Kingston bug for sure

The prog files are different for all three synths. It is possible to use the samples and sfz files in a CSC expansion pack in DPro and Rapture but you will need to recreate the programs. The new Rapture Pro and Session synths can read the CSC, DPro and Rapture legacy prog files.

Thanks - I repeated this as a separate question in the forum.  Thanks though.   What is the disadvantage of disabling the 64 DP? I hate having to do these kind of things.  Hopefully CW will fix this issue because I do like the perf improvements in Kingston and would prefer not to roll back but I use those B3 sounds a lot
