Could you send me the name of the file you have pinned? I want to make sure there's not a secondary issue here. 
 
Also, in the meantime, if you un-pin the project the screen should stop showing up blank at restarts.

Also the reluctance some users are showing on this forum to install the latest version is puzzling. With the ability to roll back encase a problem occurs one is protected from any problem that may arise. Plus you have the best version available. Even if some report a problem its highly unlikely that the problem will impact you.
 
 
CW works very hard in providing these updates to us on an accelerated basis. Some of us refuse to take advantage of it for reasons unknown to me.

The files that are pinned are Paradise Beach.cwp, Midnight Snow.cwp and aaaa.cwp with the later being my let's try/test this projects.  The unpinned file is My Baby's Walking.cwp.

Note that the start menu only starts showing up blank after I start a new project by bypassing the new start menu and using the file/new method, i.e. the old way of doing this.  After clearing the cache all is well until I start a new project using the old file/new method.
