FYI Peterson tuners "Peterson Connect" which is their application to program certain models of their tuners, including the StroboPlusHD (I have one) now requires Google Chrome.  Previously they had their own application to access their Peterson Connect site.

This is a negative for me, personally, as I tried Chrome and it installed an updater program that caused high DPC Latency Spikes and clicks and dropouts in Sonar, even if off line.  Chrome uninstalled, apparently OK, but the updater did not and it required manual editing of the Windows Registry to remove the many entries that the updater installed.  Uninstalling Chrome, I still had the DPC Latency spikes, only after getting rid of the updater entries the DPC Latency went back to normal and the clicks and dropouts disappeared in Sonar.

A very poor move on Peterson's part to require customers to install Chrome to get the full benefit of the product.  In the case of the StroboPlusHD, it cannot be manually programmed it has to be done on line with their Peterson Connect application.  As most (almost all I know) Pedal Steel Guitar Players use a custom tuning, the programming was the incentive for the Peterson.

Peterson has "seen the light" and reinstated their original standalone application that was supplied with new tuners.  They have also changed the access to the Peterson Connect so it will work with any browser.   Their new method that requires Chrome will also be available.

There was quite an "uprising" about this on the Steel Guitar Forum.  One of the big adopters of the Peterson Strobe tuners is the Steel Guitar Community.  Big enough that Peterson includes several built in Pedal Steel Guitar custom tunings.
