  • Need Help Getting Tracks to Lineup After Inserting Measures in Sonar X2 Pro Project

So, I've followed the directions for inserting measures in a project, and that's easy enough. From measure 87 I want to insert 4 measures. I'm able to do that, but the problem is when that starting on measure 92 the tracks are no longer lined up. Why is this, and what can I do to remedy the problem?  I've gone into Preferences and tried tinkering with the Snap to Grid and Nudge function, but nothing has effected the outcome. No matter what changes I make in the Editing area, the outcome is the same, and the tracks no longer line up from measure 92 on. Trying to line up over 20 tracks with a mouse is a giant PITA.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Best regards,

You don't have a tempo change at that point, do you? And are you being sure to have all the checkboxes selected when you use Insert Measures?

Thanks for the response. There actually is a gradual tempo change in the current 4 bar area that I'm wanting to move in order to make space, but yes, I checked all the appropriate boxes. After doing some more research I think the problem is in my snap to grid settings. As soon as I get home I'll try fixing it some more from there. Hopefully, ,I can get a handle on it....thanks again...

I wouldn't think Snap to Grid would have any effect when you add time to the project. I would guess (without seeing your project) that Sonar is having trouble working out exactly how far to move things with that tempo change in place. In the inspector, are any of the clips using different time formats to M:B:T? Or maybe some have an Absolute time base instead of Musical?
