Having spent 2 big days in the studio on large projects utilising lots of plugins that can be cantankerous (including melodyne), I am thoroughly impressed with Kingston. I had a couple of show stopping issues with Jamaica Plain, so when I read the first few posts about problems with Kingston I very nearly didn't update. Then I remembered how easy it is to roll back if I do have issues. I know some people are not particularly fond of it, but I find the monthly update system is really well designed. Even with JP, which was not a success for me, it took about 3 minutes to load, 10 minutes to realise I had issues wth the audio engine stopping, and a other 3 minutes to roll back to Ipswich. All up, 16 mins and I was back to work.

No problems with Kingston though - not a single crash or freeze in 2 x 14 hour days.

The improvement in speed is seriously impressive.

From my point  of view, hands down he best update we have had. Thanks bakers - 1 very happy camper.

I will certainly be renewing my year of updates when the time arrives.

I've been blessed that NONE of the updates has caused any issues so for in 2015.  I'm not necessarily a huge "deep digger" in the program, but it seems to be rock solid for my tape recorder, mixing, experimenting, VSTi usage, and general mucking around uses.
I think Cakewalk has really set the bar high for themselves, with their past update track records.

I totally agree that Kingston is a winner...rock solid and unbelievably fast.

I know some people have had problems, and I'm sure some of that is due to coding errors, but in my experience since the "subscription" model, Sonar has tended toward absolutely AWESOME!

Ah... is it a big job to delete all associated posts too?
I'm getting embarrassed... :)
I understand where I goofed and will be mindful of the thread subject in future.
