For me I'm looking forward to dumping reflector in NI guitar rig if it's as good...

Stereo yep.

I sort of did a shoot out and loaded Sonitus, perfect space, breverb, re matrix and Pantheon.

Subjective of course but the presets for re matrix are usable out of the box and it has the lowest cpu load next to Sonitus but I prefer a convolution reverb. I haven't tried a waves reverb yet as I've only recently acquired them. Also have to try the offerings from Melda, Softube, oZone.

It was also an opportunity to setup different mixes with the new Mix Recall feature and do quick ABCDEF comparisons. Absolutely brilliant new feature.

I take it you got the upgrade? If so I am very happy for you.

no...that's why I was asking about ReMatrix.  Seems like a hidden gem in the upgrade.
Plus I REALLY liked Perfect Space and have a zillion IR, but it was a tad too CPU intensive for me to use it all over the place.  This seems like Perfect's replacement.

I only tried it in one track and really have no true facts to give you but you are 100 % right in that it is way cool.

Keep in mind it is a PC module only which I like. Some may want a VST full version. It can use user irs so your collection can be used. I too have a huge collection and plan to use them in it. However I also have the Melda convolution reverb  and I like it. ReMatrix seems to be low in CPU usage but I can't swear to that.

Doesn't say 'True Stereo' anywhere that I can see. My understanding of 'True Stereo' convolution reverbs is that they can load two stereo IR's.  One for the left and one for the right.  Perfect Space is not True Stereo.  Pristine Space from Voxengo is supposed to be a 'True Stereo' convolution.  Honestly, I'm not sure I could tell the difference but I wanted to ask.

Sonar 2015 comes with "ReMatrix Solo" which is a different animal that ReMatrix.  The full ReMatrix looks pretty darn neat!  Five layers of IR's and so much more!  However, just listening to the Solo version video, it sounds pretty sweet as well.

Thanks guys.

That's the thing that impressed me; how "stereo" it was. I agree this is the hidden gem of Platinum.

Searched all over the web page and watched the video.. It does not seem to have true stereo.

If you are upgrading from X3 to "NEW Sonar", don't forget to try out Perfect Space's IR with Rematrix Solo. I don't have my DAW with me at the moment but the IR should be in Program Files(x86)>Cakewalk>VSTplugin>Perfect Space.

Now that Sonar has both Overloud's Algo (Breverb) and Convo (Rematrix solo), users of other DAWs ..............Jealous!

What i found not handy is the point of use own IR's. It would be nice if it was allowed to create user folders or better the import or link of user folders.

It is just a little part of our IR's on the Screen. Not nice at all if you have sorted folders.

Rematrix strikes me as more of a replacement for PerfectSpace than the Lexicon Pantheon. (Both of which I still use, but got no objection to having more options).

I suppose along with BREVERB, we now have both an 80s/90s digital reverb and a convolution reverb as prochannel modules, which is nice and handy.

Sonitus is also the one i use most but i am already liking rematrix.
