I'm really enjoying ReMatrix too. I wasn't that excited about it when I read it on the list of features but now that I've played with it today I think it's a fine addition to the ProChannel. Now I really need to concentrate on building a collection of impulses. The ones it comes with are fantastic though. My only complaint is that there seems to be no keyboard modifier to fine tune the knobs - the predelay time moves in increments of 1.2ms for example, it would be nice to be able to either fine tune that or double click on the value to type a new value. And if I'm being really picky I would love to be able to sync the predelay time to the host tempo. But hey, how many reverbs let you do that? Anyway I think I'll be using this a LOT.

Since I already own the full version of reMATRIX I'm curious on what (if any) the differences are between this and the solo-version found in Platinum.

And also.. if there are differences (which I'm assuming), will these differences remain between the pc-module and the VST-version for us who have both, or will the PC-module then be "updated" to full strength?

The ProChannel version is definitely lighter than the full VST version. Who ever owns ReMatrix reverb would have to get the ProChannel SKU and write the full version for that platform as they have with a light version.

Alright. Is this how it works with BREVERB2 as well?  Since Cakewalk often have had offers to upgrade BREVERB2 to the full version (which I never did) I thought this upgrade would also affect the PC-module.

On the other hand, BREVERB2 was(is) available both as PC-module and VST. Maybe this isn't the case with REmatrix?

I'm not aware that the full version of Breverb is available as a PC module. Can anyone confirm that.

I know the full version is a VST..

That's a fair assumption, and by that I mean, that's what I had thought

Has anyone tried to use Rematrix solo as a guitar cab ir loader behind an amp sim?

Also, if you click on Rematrix Solo logo in the pc module, you get a link to the Cakewalk store to upgrade to the full version of Rematrix but there is nothing in the Cakewalk store yet...

I'm not saying this is how I think it is, just to be clear.
But having the effect as a PC is a huge benefit for most people. If upgrading to full BREVERB2 would make the VST-version better than the PC-version, then what's the point of having it as a PC-module at all? I wouldn't want to use a PC-module if I knew I had the same effect (but with more power) as a VST. Maybe that's just me though.

Yeah.. Would be nice to get the actual facts on this.. :)

Alright.. Tha's nice! Still.. Will this upgrade the PC-module or not..? :)

Getting hooked and upgrading, to then lose out on the function (Prochannel) that got you hooked in the first place would be kind of annoying.

Stereo yep.

I sort of did a shoot out and loaded Sonitus, perfect space, breverb, re matrix and Pantheon.

Subjective of course but the presets for re matrix are usable out of the box and it has the lowest cpu load next to Sonitus but I prefer a convolution reverb. I haven't tried a waves reverb yet as I've only recently acquired them. Also have to try the offerings from Melda, Softube, oZone.

It was also an opportunity to setup different mixes with the new Mix Recall feature and do quick ABCDEF comparisons. Absolutely brilliant new feature.

Doesn't say 'True Stereo' anywhere that I can see. My understanding of 'True Stereo' convolution reverbs is that they can load two stereo IR's.  One for the left and one for the right.  Perfect Space is not True Stereo.  Pristine Space from Voxengo is supposed to be a 'True Stereo' convolution.  Honestly, I'm not sure I could tell the difference but I wanted to ask.

Sonar 2015 comes with "ReMatrix Solo" which is a different animal that ReMatrix.  The full ReMatrix looks pretty darn neat!  Five layers of IR's and so much more!  However, just listening to the Solo version video, it sounds pretty sweet as well.

Thanks guys.

Paul

It's actually even deeper than that. A true stereo processor does not sum the left and right channels when processing. The left and right signals are processed completely independently as well as having independent left and right IR's. This allows you to actually place a sound within a space very precisely.

Dan
