So now we can set up multiple FX sends, we could have more than one ReMatrix with different IRs that go through a singe compression and EQ, kind of replicating the full version

Yes you could but it'd get very unwieldy compared to the full product. Imagine five instances of ReMatrix solo followed by a chain of processors. Delay, another reverb, overdrive, compression and another EQ.

It'd be a nightmare tweaking that lot.

Is it possible to create presets in the full version that can be selected from within the prochannel version? The prochannel version does not have all the parameters, but various presets present different arrays of parameters, so I was wondering if the whole engine was there but with limited access to all options.

That would be something I would need to check on. As I only have X3 and Breverb 2 full version, and not the new ReMatrix. Though I wondered the same thing when I was at my computer playing around with the full version of Breverb. But I got lost in tweaking! : )

Then ran out of time!! Again! But I'll look and see later today.

REMatrix Solo seems much more like a better sounding Perfect Space replacement than anything like the full VST version. I still use Perfect Space, even though I also have too many other very good reverbs, because some of the IR's I have are perfect for a particular use. It's just easier than trying to dial in a setting to match in a reverb.

That said, I'll be happy to abandon Perfect Space for REmatrix Solo. The bit bridge issues alone are reason enough.

Is there no way of importing a batch file of Impulses?

Loading them one by one could be a little tedious!

I am reviving this thread to ask a question regarding Rematrix Solo in Platinum.

Is the max decay time brickwalled at 2.4 seconds?  Basically, it will automatically truncate any user-imported IR's by means of an automatically applied fade-out during the import process?  So this would mean that if you had a "deep space" IR (e.g. 4-6 seconds), then it's totally useless because it's max decay time is limited to only 2.4 seconds.

Dumb.  Maybe it's because they want you to upgrade to the full version.  Still dumb.

A while back, I got a chance to be inside a power plant's cooling tower when it was shut down.  I recorded an IR of a balloon popping.  It was the best I could do.  The recording came out fairly well, but I guess I just have to resort to using Perfect Space, and all if its latency issues.

Also, on a side-note question: should the IR contain the original impulse sound, or should I silence it out?

I actually tried ReMatrix one day on humbug a while ago, and now it's my go to verb on vocals.

I think it sounds good, and the includes IR's are good too.  However, I think it's severely limited because any IR loaded into it will be reduced to only a 2.4 second tail.  Am I wrong on this?  So for big hall verbs, Rematrix Solo comes up short.

I loaded my cooling tower IR into Perfect Space for comparison, and the result is 10x different (and longer) than Rematrix Solo.

I had to check this, since I thought the IR can be longer than 2.4s. The limit is 20 seconds. I just imported A "Lexicon 200 Impulse" set and got a popup saying "Input Error! Hall of DOOM_dc.wav time length is over the limit of 20 seconds"

Well I would have bought the full version but they never fixed the file management.
I've just got Waves IR-L now so too bad so sad.....
