In Sonar X3 Pro, could NOT sing a phrase well, so recorded it 20 times in take lanes on a track, then did it again on another track. Can't seem to do either of these two things:
1.  Moving a lane from one track to another track;
2.  If that's not possible, I have to drag each take down into an empty take lane. But I see no way to "add 20 lanes" and am forced to "right click on a lane, add lane" soooooo many times. It would be much faster to learn how to sing! :(

Can either / both be done?

If you drag those 20 takes (clips) down to the empty area of the Track view, it will automatically create a new track with 20 lanes. Also, if the source track and the existing destination track have the same number of lanes (with the same T numbers), you can easily drag the clips between the two tracks. If they have different T numbers, it will end up like this (bug):

Thanks, Tak.

#1.  Oh! The track number thing caused my lanes to jump all over the place. Really confused me and forced me to drag one at a time. Very cool to see why.

#2.  But when I drag 3 lanes from the originating track down to an empty lane of a destination track, they all stack on top of each other in one lane in the destination track. Then I have to drag each layer to its own lane. That doesn't sound like what you were describing. ???   They don't create new lanes, and won't even land in 3 destination lanes, they still stack. A setting???

Hmm....a quick test here shows it's working as expected.

But this is a new project with only track inserted. IIRC I've also experienced what you're describing in my heavy projects.

So grateful for your screen videos. Really helpful. Yes, with that I have verified my system will take a few lanes and by dragging them into what I now understand what you mean by the empty space, will create a new track and lanes.

The challenge I have is wanting to move:
A.  Whole lanes from an existing track to a different existing track that already has lanes.
B.  If that can't be done, then at least grab multiple lanes and drag them onto another existing track with lanes without them "stacking" on top of each other.

Although lanes themselves can't be moved to another track, moving the contents (clips) to an existing track seems to successfully create new lanes in the destination track and move the clips over there. But you must collapse the destination track in advance, as shown in the video below.

Thanks again, Tak. Okay, I acknowledge that I can't move lanes.

But when I collapse the destination track and move the clips from the original track, it steps on the existing tracks. Actually, I dragged clips from 2 different lanes in the original track to the collapsed track. The result was 1 new lane created with 1 lane worth of clips and the 2nd lane's clips stacked on top of a destination lane's clips.

Yours doesn't do that?

So this time I tested it in one of my heavy projects, and it still seems to be working correctly.

The Challenge B you posted in post #5 is a confirmed bug and I really want it fixed immediately.

Much gratitude. I'm going to play with it in a new project tomorrow to see if there's just something funky going on in my aging project.

Thanks!
