Here's a half-awake, stupid question!!! What is Rapture Session? Is it a new synth to add to the arsenal for free or is it something to add to Rapture Pro, which I do not own? All my lights in CCC for Rapture Session are red. Is this a demo version? I'm not understanding. I visited the product page but I'm still confused as to this being a new synth for free download or something that I am going to have to buy Rapture Pro to be able to use. Thanks, guys!

It is a new, free synth.

It has a selection of sounds from Rapture Pro, as well as all the sounds from Dim Pro, Rapture and Sound Centre, as well as any expansion packs you have installed. It even shows my Museum Rapture sounds.

It is excellent.

Rapture session is the replacement for sound center. It's way cooler, more powerful and modern. It also sounds better and has a ton of content. Session has the same synth engine as rapture pro and fixes in rapture pro apply to session as well. So is not like this was done in isolation. Pro also has tons of updates in this release.

 I see Sound Center is still there as well. Rapture Session is also VST3.

I'm not seeing the Rapture Session as an update on CCC.  Where should I be looking?

Played with Rapture Session a bit last night.  This is, imho, the best synth I think Cake's put out.  I have DimPro and Rapture as well but as far as a TON of instantly usable great sounds out of the gate, this one has it all for me...Nice job on this one, Cakewalk.

What exactly is going on - is Rapture Session the synth?
And the individual SessionXxx files the sound libraries?
 
For example, SessionKeys007 is 1.13GB!!!
Session-Orchestral-007 likewise.
Estimated download time each is
Greater than 12 hours.
