Am I getting this right then SC has been replaced and SC is no longer a viable option. My projects with SC is making a screeching sound how do I replace those projects with rapture using the same instruments if SC is obsolete.

Sound centre will still work on your system even if Cakewalk discontinue shipping it in the future. Rapture Session is its replacement going forward.

I would suggest you make a note of the patch you are using in SC.

Then load an instance of Rapture Session and point the output of the midi track associated with SC to Rapture Session and load the appropriate patch.

Then turn off SC and try playing back your project to see if it is all working.

I have done it this way before to change the synth.

I have not had any luck using the browser to replace a synth but I'm probably just not doing ti correctly.

Mudgel that is not the case, SC is not working for a lot of people!

I encountered 2 small issues with the installation process, which may as well be noted in this thread:
    1. The Programs and Presets file path correctly found my D:\Cakewalk Content directory, but the Multisamples defaulted to C:\Cakewalk Content (which doesn't exist on my system).
    2. Using the Browse... button to pick a new directory for the Multisamplesdoesn't let me create a new directory. So although I could navigate to D:\Cakewalk Content, it wouldn't let me create D:\Cakewalk Content\Cakewalk Sample Data. I had to go into Explorer and create that myself, then come back and try the browse operation again.
[3. Trying to use ordered lists in this forum editor doesn't work properly.]

It is a new, free synth.

Just a small correction...it is free to members. However, it costs $29.95 if purchased outside of the membership program, e.g., the AAX version for Pro Tools users, or AU for Logic.

Just installed this yesterday ... very impressed and happy to have it in the toolkit.
It's great to have the DimPro, Classic Rapture, CSC and third-party libraries all available in the same browser!
