I just built a new computer based on the i7-950 and am busily reinstalling all my music production software.  I'm using a Win7 64-bit system, so I installed Sonar PE 8 64-bit so I could install my Sonar PE 8.5 64-bit update.  As part of installing Sonar 8, before installing the update I installed Dim Pro.  I install the update to PE8.5.  Now, when I open either 8 or 8.5 and try to insert a soft synth of DP, I get a message: 
 
"Cakewalk Missing Plug-In Stand-in
Plug-in:  Dimension Pro
This plug-in is msising or improperly installed on your system..." etc. 
 
 Now, I've got a Dim Pro folder in Program Files/Cakewalk and in Program Files(x86)/Cakewalk, the first with a Dimension Pro64.dll and the second with a Dimension Pro.dll.  Under Program Files(x86)/Cakewalk/Vstplugins there's a Dim Pro folder holding Dimension Pro.dll.  There no Dim Pro folder under Program Files/Cakewalk/Vstplugins.  Inside Sonar when I click on the effects box I can select Dim Pro, but get the result described above.
 
At this point I can't remember whether I had this problem in the past (or if I did how to solve it), but I do know I registered Dim Pro--now I can't even get Dim Pro open to put in the registration code.
 
I know this is probably my aging brain causing the problem, but can anyone help?  Thanks.

I'm running Sonar PE 8.5.3 and Dimension Pro 1.5 under Win7 64bit. Here's the files and paths that I have:

Program Files/Cakewalk/Dimension Pro/Dimension Pro x64.dll (Date: 4/3/2006 Size: 2,956KB)
Program Files/Cakewalk/Vstplugins/Dimension Pro/Dimension Pro x64.dll (Date: 4/27/2010 Size: 2,413KB)
Program Files/Cakewalk/Vstplugins/Dimension Pro/Dimension Pro x64.exe (Date: 5/6/2010 Size: 159KB)

I don't have anything for Dimension Pro under Program Files(x86)

as for entering the reg number.. right click / run as admin ...and you'll be able to enter the code

I have this same problem except that when you right click the option to run as admin doesnt come up, so I cant update the program even though it is listed in the cakewalk folder.
