Bapu is correct.  If you are in the US, they NOW force you to pay in US Dollars = $199

Looks like the number of purchases that I make at Time+Space is going to hit zero starting now.

Ditto.

Although I need to look into that idea that a VPN gets around that.

Then again. For serial download purchases, strike a deal with a UK friend. Send them Paypal. They buy it. They send you the serial #.

I have such a friend or two.

Good point.

I've only done it once with a Euro friend (paid in Euros) on a serial download purchase and there was no VAT or if there was it was still cheaper than the US price, else I would not have done it.

Going for it today! Waited years for this. Might wait another year to finish the downloads!

Jimmy,

I've been continuously downloading one lib at a time since about 6:45AM today. I'm 1/3 thru the third lib right now.

I was getting an average download speed of 10MB/s earlier but as of now it's averaging 7MB/s.

Those are my normal download speeds all the time (7-10MB/s).  With a top upload speed of 1MB/s.
One of the disadvantages of living in the sticks and being stuck with just one available ISP (Fairpoint). It sucks.

I didn't really have any trouble downloading everything.  Installing it is kind of slow though.  In fact I think I spent longer waiting for it to unpack and install than I did downloading it.  Might be because I installed it to a NAS drive (which had the free storage the full install needed).

I would say something about how awesome all those extra mics are, but with the manual only being online and completely inaccessible I'm not exactly sure how to use them correctly.  But just fiddling seems like they were pretty nice at making the sound wider.  Maybe there are some videos I can use until some documentation is available.

Seems to work with SONAR fairly nicely, though I've yet to do more than hook up a bunch of multi-outs and play some MIDI files.

I just realized that my speeds were not all that bad for my connectivity.

My ISP provides 75Mbps which, if I understand it correctly, is 9.3MB/s.

Sometimes speed tests tells me I get up to 100Mbps.

Leee,

Are you sure you're not mixing up MB/s and Mbps?

Ya, installing takes longer than downloads for sure. I download to my C: drive.
