zoffmeisterHaha Daibhidh. In future videos I'll try to say the word "cup" and "pub" just for you.

Or even when you push the faders "up". :)

zoffmeisterI think if I'd been on Puremix I'm sure their editing department would have gotten me down to around two hours. :) Trouble is when editing I couldn't think what needed taking out. It all seemed important to the full story.

I actually like that you show the whole process. Not that good editing is bad,
but sometimes editors cut out too much and you miss out on the process.

As for being a southerner,
being in the southern hemisphere down in New Zealand, I guess that's true.

Been mixing in Sonar for ages but I always welcome new instructional videos. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I'll definitely be checking it out.

Thanks for all the great comments. And indeed the channel subscriptions. You scoundrels. Now I'll have to make more content.

I suppose being from New Zealand you'll be able to make a better job of pronouncing Aotearoa than I did in Video #8.

Thank you for sharing.  I appreciate your effort, and I have added your ideas to the ever growing toolbox.

So - how do you place submix channels next to track channels in the console pane.  I've never done that and it looks much cleaner.

Take care,

Those submix channels are called Aux Tracks. When chosing the output for a channel scroll down to very near the bottom of the list and select New Aux Track. It will appear next to the channel you are routing to it. You can of course move it around like any other track. You then route it to the Buss of your chosing. For example, sometimes if I record an acoustic guitar in stereo I tend to use the Mid Side approach. The result is three tracks. So I route all three to a new aux track and name it 'Acoustic Gtr'. I then do any processing on that track rather than on each of the three source tracks. I can then if I like hide those three tracks and just see the aux track if I feel there is too much clutter. I can then send it and any other acoustic guitars if there are any to the Ac Gtrs Buss.
