I'm thinking of upgrading to Sonar Platinum, but I really only was hoping for one particular feature. Did they add a chord input feature to the piano roll, like the EXCELLENT one in Cubase, or even the o.k. one in FL Studio?

I'm not talking about a chorder effect. I'm talking about the ability to choose from a list of chord types and then it draws all of the chord notes in the piano roll with the selection of the root note.

Thanks.

The chord track would be nice, but I'm not even talking about something that major.  In the piano roll of Cubase you can select types of chords and then draw in the root note and it draws all the other correct notes, all at once, for that chord.  From there, you can invert in different ways for different voicings.  FL Studio has the same feature, though it's not as elegantly implemented as the one in Cubase.

There are CAL scripts which will create cords based on a root note. Those can be bound to shortcuts. The scripts are text files which can be opened with any text editor if you wish to inspect or modify them.
