Unknowen
this is a bunch of (insert your own word here)
I acuity had a system built that would work with plat a few months back...
and now its obsolete for the same old reason as always............ !!!!
software programmers have NO CLUE how to build faster software unless they upgrade their systems!!!
you cant fix splat by forcing costumers to upgrade their systems every 3 months so that it will work!
I can't even set up a simple drum track now and record one track without the timing going all to (BLANK)
you said you (fixed) a bunch of stuff and that is (BLANK Blank)
X3 works better! WHY? because my new system is the backers old systems...

and really!!! don't anyone ask me what I'm using.. I tried every setting... two months ago I recorded multiple guitar track , drums and synth bass with no issues!

I sorry but so far I have loved plat with a few bugs that I could work around but now I spent all day with NO LUCK!
as far as I can tell MOST users are still unsung win 7 and 8. Are the bakers still testing win 7 and 8 with Januarys 2015 system requirements? from the issues I'm having... your not!

HEAR ME BAKERS! YOU CAN'T KEEP FIXING THINGS TO WORK ONLY WITH THE NEXT GENERATION COMPUTER AND CALL IT AN UPGREAD TO THE PEOPLE WHO GOT SPLAT WITH LOWER SPECS THAN YOU HAVE NOW!

I thought that this whole membership deal was a pile of... but I jumped in anyway and it was cool for a wile but now if you are doing exactly what you have done in the past then membership means nothing... Ill go back to sonar 8 or X3 and call it a day... I have more and better plugins then Cakewalk can give away free and work better then this now joke you call splat! IMO!

BTW! I don't need any opinions from the peanut gallery...any you know who you are!!! just move on!!!

See my sig ... S-Plat is running faster for me that any previous version, including X3 (same system for X3).  I say this to suggest that maybe there is something about your machine, drivers, config or something else that is causing S-Plat to not perform well for you.

Don't even bother, Bob. This guy is a self proclaimed troll.

Funny!  Dude.....if you spent as much time configuring your new system as you you did learning how to make a point, write cohesively, and spell, it's no wonder your system doesn't work.  There are plenty of us (myself included) that have SPLAT working like a champ (running dozens or even hundreds of heavily processed tracks).  Look in the mirror and you might see where the problem is!  Just sayin'........  I don't usually respond to these kinds of rants, but YOU my friend are WAY off base!  Best of luck straightening this out on your own and don't bother us anymore!

Sonar Platinum runs much faster than X1/X2 and X3 and seems to have a reduced footprint. That's probably because X1/X2 and X3 was ignored much like the OP describes (er I think). Platinum is reversing the trend.I suspect there will be further optimizations as it goes along.

If the OP is having performance problems he need to get into optimizing and cleaning up his system. There are lots of problems I can pinpoint with Sonar, but performance / resource bloat isn't one of them. One exception being JP which had a big bug leading to a single core being overloaded in some scenarios (now fixed with Kingston).

Oh and he should start reading the ezines. If has has any issues with specific benchmarks might be best to raise them.

PS my machine is four years old.

PS my machine is four years old.

My machine is much older than that.

My machine started on Vista, so that tells you old it is...later upgraded to Windows 7 when that came out (which I'm still using). It works fine with SONAR Platinum, and Kingston really is faster.

Without any details, the OP is 1) difficult to understand and 2) impossible to offer suggestions for. Even "non-peanuts" (I am 1/8 almond on my father's side, btw) cannot help you.

As a general rant it is "okay" but again without details it doesn't instill immense guilt and desire for redemption on the reader. It does remind me that I need to work on my "I don't like green olives..." OP. I am still lacking a good hook for immense guilt and desire for redemption in that one.

On a serious note, posting system specs and specific issues might actually be beneficial for you.

Luckily I got my computer straight from NASA so I've only had minor issues thus far *massive eye roll*
