Nice rant! I am confused on one point though; do you want help fixing things?

A few months old system build should work better with Kingston, particularly since it worked fine two months ago.
There's probably a solution that the forum could assist with  re: the timing issue (drifting?).
 
Personally, I'd ask for suggestions on "what could be causing this, it used to work ok. Here's what I'm using:".

Nothing wrong with a good rant, though. They're fun to read.

Check out my sig and see the low spec system I have - Kingston is running very nicely indeed with plugins, VIs etc. 

I record live shows 28 tracks at a time (Tascam US1641 and US1800 on Asio4All) on an Atom-processor netbook.

See my sig ... S-Plat is running faster for me that any previous version, including X3 (same system for X3).  I say this to suggest that maybe there is something about your machine, drivers, config or something else that is causing S-Plat to not perform well for you.
 
 

Yeah it runs fast as long as you don't need to record audio...

Funny!  Dude.....if you spent as much time configuring your new system as you you did learning how to make a point, write cohesively, and spell, it's no wonder your system doesn't work.  There are plenty of us (myself included) that have SPLAT working like a champ (running dozens or even hundreds of heavily processed tracks).  Look in the mirror and you might see where the problem is!  Just sayin'........  I don't usually respond to these kinds of rants, but YOU my friend are WAY off base!  Best of luck straightening this out on your own and don't bother us anymore!

WOW you can spell... lol you are some buddy... Tried and tested on TWO systems! Audio is NOT recording properly!
