  • Melodyne version check... (seems like CCC shows wrong version)

Doktor Avalanche
I have Melodyne Editor 2.1.2 (upgraded from essential version).
I notice CCC shows Melodyne Essential is 1.0.0.7 in CCC.
I know Editor and Essential shares exactly the same files, it's just the serial number that brings in the Editor features.

So I'm just curious...
For those on Essential if you run standalone what version are you on (Help->About).
If you go to File->Preferences and click "Check now do you see any updates"?

Also if you log on here:

Are there any updates for you?

Thanks..

Just posted a question about Melodyne. I'm running Essential 2.1.2 64 bit.

Thanks...
So basically we have a scenario that either

a) 1.0.0.7 is being distributed in CCC
or

b) The release notes are wrong in CCC.

Tempted to go for (b).

Bakers?

Cheers.

it could be c) It refers to the Cakewalk installer version and not product contained in the installer.

That would make life even more confusing IMHO.

Your HO notwithstanding, there is a likely explanation other than the two you suggested. Cakewalk creates installers to run in the Command Center. There are other examples of third party products with installers written by Cakewalk which have no bearing on the version(s) of the products they contain.

Not disagreeing with you at all, however not an optimal situation from a customer perspective, you need to know what version you are installing.
