Hi All,

I am trying to get an audio input to work with low latency and also be able to hear the usual PC sounds. ASIO seems to be the industry standard for low latency input, but it usually means that you cannot have any other system sounds simultaneously. I'm basically trying to run my guitar through Amplitube 4 and play along with songs without any noticeable delay.

My setup
Soundcard – onboard from ASUS Sabertooth P67 motherboard
USB interface – Cakewalk UA-1G which serves as my guitar input
Guitar software – Amplitube 4

Windows Playback options available
Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Realtek Digital Output
Realtek Digital Output(Optical)
OUT – UA-1G
Voicemeeter Input (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)

Windows Recording options available
Line In (Realtek High Definition Audio)
Stereo Mix (Realtek High Definition Audio)
IN – UA-1G
VoiceMeeter Output (VB-Audio VoiceMeeter VAIO)

Amplitube 4 options available
Technology DirectSound/ASIO

Apparently you can use VoiceMeeter to achieve the desired result, but when I try I'm getting a weird delay effect. Does anybody here have any configuration suggestions?

Many thanks,

The optimal Solution for getting Real Time Audio With Voicemeeter is to connect it to the physical ASIO device (on its output A1) and connect your DAW (CakeWalk) to Voicemeeter Virtual ASIO driver. This video tutorial show this ASIO configuration:  (replace Traktion by Cakewalk).
