I think this is a really cool instrumental.. !!!
I do get "artistic" freedom. It's really good for what it is. 
But going with the "feel" and title I feel that it's missing something. It's just not spacey to me.
The mix feels thin to me.
But THAT's (just me) I'm just trying to offer advice.

I'm late to the party, as usual, but I think this song is absolute dynamite!
 
This is a really well produced, kick-butt instrumental!  Mesh's tasty guitar work was killer and really shines here, and the guitar tones were perfect for the style of the track.  Hugo's drums were excellent, and Ed's bass and keys were super, as always.
 
Outstanding job on the crystal clear, well balanced mix, totally pro sounding!
