I am a little crazy here. Giving you the whole song. It is long. I wanted to record the song with all the lyrics. And the German lyrics from before 1600 had 9 verses, and the Norwegian guy translated putted on a 10
th verse.
Anyways. You hear the Symphony Series in context.
I didn’t want to much of if, because the song then wouldn’t be the same anymore. At least I didn’t like the too much repetitions on the verses I showed above. The orchestra could stand alone as a Preludie tho. I have full Symphony on the 3 verse. But no percussion. That didn’t fit. And just violin 1 and 2 on verses 2, 4-6 and 10.
I have to add that there is some difficulties rendering this. I had to do the violin 1 and 2 one more time before making this mix for instance. Its because the long notes on the last verse was choked. I guess that’s a known Cakewalk bug. And non of the instruments are paned out of the box. You have to pan them yourself. If you don’t, it will sound wrong. I guess that the stereo image on the track take in account that the violin 1 on the back and left has another panning than the violin 1 guy on the right in front. So giving the violin 1 a 40 to the left will spread them out in that aria. Many of the sounds need to blend to other sounds to sound ok. And on its own I guess the Symphony Series is to clean? You need to ad some noise or “sound” to them. But that’s what I like with them. They blend perfectly to a mix with a band. They don’t ad to much other than just enough of the sound they represent.
I don’t know if this makes any sense. But here is the link anyways.
