really very good Bats. Great hook
I don't believe it needs any more high end.
There is a tone somewhere that is ringing - maybe tightening up the low end would remove it.
thanks so much daryl.....
that tone, i think i found it.
it's a midrange from the snare, i think.
i've tweaked the low end quite a bit now,
and i think it's getting close, wil post an update soon

As always, the recording, the vocals and the musicianship is awesome. The song itself is great little rocker. I like the one-off stuff , especially some wacky timing and musical events that caught me off guard around the 2:15 area.
The fact that a 69 year old dude likes this could been seen as a negative thing - but that’s life - this is good stuff.
alright manny, getting old, and still rocking, i dig it. that's cool.

This sounds quite close here Bat's, did you use SD3 on this? I am sure the few tweaks it needs will become obvious to you.
hey wookiee! i did NOT use sd3 on this, i didn't have it when i wrote and finalized this mix (if i output the raw wave data and mix it in my own mixer, i ain't goin' back!!! heheh)
so, it begs the question.....
would it be WORTH going back, and finding a new kit?
i tend to not work with click, metro, etc, and i'll even do stupid stuff, like shift entire sections of songs with a nudge here, nudge there, NOTHING will ever line up again!!
so maybe, i can't go back on this one.
but i've got several that are just getting started, i will be moving over for those.

Kudos on the arrangement, which always keeps the listener's attention . . . "what's next? what's he doing now???" - super original all the way through. The sections are excellent, and you don't run too long with one idea, before another excellent one pops up.
and, kudos on the performances. Cracking guitars, drums, excellent vocals. Very real and powerful performances.
that is all! nice work!

hey tom, thanks a lot for listening.....
i DO work at the changeups...
i'm trying to NOT write songs that just fall into place,
there are enough of those around already.
i'm trying to find a way to do groovy rock rhythms, and aggressive but melodic guitar parts,
that still catch the ear like a good earworm should.
and i guess, i favor the ADHD crowd.
